Children's Hospital & Health Center - Buick Invitational

On Wednesday, January 25, PTWA members visited Children's Hospital and Health Center of San Diego during the week of the Buick Invitational. There they met children in the playroom and played air hockey and assisted with art projects. This room also contains books, movies and computers to provide the children with activities during their stay at the hospital. After splitting into groups, they visited children in their rooms, handing out toys and swapping stories.

Children's is the San Diego region's only designated pediatric trauma center and the only hospital designated solely to pediatric care. They have 228 available beds of which they average 200 kids at any time. For more information on this wonderful facility, please see their website at www.chsd.org.
