$45,000 Donated to Children's Healthcare Charity

The 2008 PGA TOUR Wives Golf Classic, played during The Honda Classic in February, was a huge success for our organization, raising almost $90,000. The event would not have been possible without the generosity of our many sponsors and the incredible support we received from The Honda Classic and the staff at PGA National Resort & Spa.

On Monday, July 14, the PGA TOUR Wives Association, represented by Erin Armour and Alli MacKenzie, presented a check in the amount of $45,000 to Barbara Nicklaus, Co-Chairman of Children's Healthcare Charity and the tournament beneficiary, Kelly Blanchard, Tournament Services Manager of The Honda Classic, and Ed McEnroe, Tournament Director of The Honda Classic.

It was also announced that the PGA TOUR Wives Golf Classic would be returning to The Honda Classic in 2009, only the third time since 1987 that the tournament has been played in consecutive years. The 2009 event will be again played on the Haig Course at the beautiful PGA National Resort & Spa on March 3, 2009. Details and sponsorship opportunities will be available in the near future.
