Rex Hospital Open

The Nationwide Tour Wives hosted a charitable book and DVD drive to benefit the children of Raleigh’s Rex Hospital. Books, DVDs and donations to purchase books and DVDs were collected over the course of three tournaments and presented to the hospital on June 3, during the week of the Nationwide Tour’s  Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh, NC. Our donations will be used to stock Rex’s new children’s library in the pediatric unit, as well as for individual gifts for those children experiencing complicated procedures. We collected and donated close to $900 in addition to a great supply of used and donated books from Nationwide Tour players, officials and local volunteers at the tournament sites. The response we received from the recipients of the hospital was incredible and overwhelming. They were very appreciative of our efforts.

The Nationwide Tour Wives members were pleased to be a part of a project to benefit the children and would like to thank all those who contributed. We would like to give a special thank you to Amy Daniels for working so diligently with the wives to coordinate volunteer efforts and help to determine the needs of children at the hospital.  

Giving back to local communities is what we, as an organization, strive to do. Putting a smile on a child’s face is the priceless return we get for doing it.
