Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association

The PGA Tour Wives Association Nationwide TOUR, visited the (GLASA) Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association on Wednesday June 8 during the La Salle Bank Open tournament. Cindy Housner, the executive director of the organization, welcomed the wives with open arms, a lot of water and snacks because it was a very warm day in Chicago. Thirteen wives participated in this charity event and enjoyed playing tennis with three talented tennis players just happened to be in wheelchairs. GLASA provides opportunities for people of all ages to participate in sports activities such as water skiing, soccer, golf, tennis, snow skiing and fishing. Cindy pointed out to the wives that they have programs for wheelchair bound, disabled and seeing-impaired individuals. Cindy also taught us that GLASA is doing its best to promote healthy lifestyles and it seems like they are accomplishing a lot of smiles, as well.
