Home for Boys and Girls Visit Henrico County Open By Heather (Mrs. Jeff) Gove
On Wednesday, May 18, the PGA TOUR Wives Association
- Nationwide Tour visited the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls
in Richmond, VA. The PTWA had the honor of making a donation
to the home. Chris Shulz took us on a tour of the campus and
answered questions regarding the home. We had the remarkable
opportunity to meet four of the residents, who then joined
us on the tour and told us about themselves. Virginia Home
for Boys and Girls offers residential services, emergency
shelter, independent living services and an accredited school
on campus. More than 20,000 children have been touched by
living at the home. No child has ever been denied care due
to lack funds. The young adults have been prepared for life
on their own through Aftercare and Pathfinder Independent
Living Services.
