Welcome

The second quarter of the year has proven to be a busy one for our members. Our first Habitat for Humanity build at the Verizon Heritage in Hilton Head was a lot of fun and we proved, once again, that we back up our words with actions. In Dallas at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship, we presented our very first scholarship to the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and spent time working with children at the J. Erik Jonsson Community School. During our visit to Charlotte, NC for the Wachovia Championship, we will be doing some fundraising and enjoying the southern hospitality the tournament always affords us. And then it’s on to THE PLAYERS Championship where we will spend two days embracing the local community and celebrating our 20th anniversary. We are frequently asked what kinds of women are involved with our organization. It is not an easy answer as each woman brings a unique perspective and talent. We are doctors, lawyers, educators, scientists, marketers, writers, entertainers and social workers from all areas of business. We are wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. We are community volunteers, leaders, fundraisers and philanthropists. We are women from different countries, of all nationalities, colors and religions. That is who and what we are. We embrace all and celebrate the unique qualities that, when woven together, allow us to share one goal and one mission - to help children and families around the country and around the world. We do it one week, one event, one step at a time. Big ways and small ways. A helping hand, a kind word, a few dollars.
