MISSION STATEMENT

PGA TOUR Wives Association, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation organized to render support and provide assistance to needy children and their families through the means of charitable events.

BACKGROUND

The Association was incorporated in 1988, by wives of professional golfers on the PGA TOUR.  PGA TOUR tournaments are major fundraisers for charities, and the wives recognized that they were in a unique position to be an effective source of funds and support for these charities and the children they benefit.  Since inception, the Association has expanded its membership to include Web.com wives, significant others of both the PGA TOUR and Web.com Tour, and individuals and companies who support the Associations' charitable endeavors.  The PGA TOUR Wives Association has given back to our golfing communities and child related charities through volunteerism and monetary contributions.  In addition to fundraising, members participate in Volunteer Service Projects, performing a myriad of services ranging from Habitat builds to cooking in soup kitchens to playing with hospitalized children in communities where tournaments are held.

FUNDRAISERS

Each year, the Association conducts many fundraisers including memorabilia auctions, wine tastings, gourmet golf events, fashion shows, raffles, cookbook sales and its most popular fundraiser, the PGA TOUR Wives Golf Classic. The Classic is one of the most enjoyable activities for Association members and friends. At this golf tournament, members play golf with their husbands acting as caddies. It is a lot of fun and provides a very memorable time to all who attend.

CHARITY RECIPIENTS

The recipients of funds raised by the Association are scattered across the country. In addition to substantial annual contributions to a host of charitable organizations, the Association has the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including hurricane and flood relief and other instances of natural disaster.

While the membership of the Association varies from year to year, its commitment to making a difference in the lives of needy children stands strong. The wonderful and dedicated members of the Association, past and present, have reached deep into their resources to balance the demands of family, work and travel and have given generously of themselves to realize their ideals.

Amy left consulting to start her own small business; turned a hobby of decorative painting into a retail operation. This allowed her to continue working while traveling with her husband on the PGA TOUR. Amy is passionate about giving back to the tournament communities that embrace the players and their families year after year. As President, Amy looks to grow the association in reach and scope. She wants to best facilitate the connection between PGA TOUR Wives’ contacts and those in need.

After college, Meagan spent a few years working in the AFL (Arena Football League) for the Colorado Crush and in the NFL for the Denver Broncos. Growing up and previously working in the golf business, and missing the people and golf industry, she was offered a job in Scottsdale, AZ as a buyer and merchandiser at Silverleaf, a private country club. Prior to traveling with her husband, Meagan had been working at Whisper Rock, an all men's private golf club. Martin and Meagan met in college, but postponed their first date until she moved to Scottsdale. She loves traveling and supporting her husband and is both honored and excited for this new opportunity to further use her passion of helping and working with others.
