MISSION STATEMENT
PGA TOUR WIVES Association, Inc. is a Florida not-for-profit corporation organized to render support and provide assistance to needy children and their families through the means of charitable events.

BACKGROUND
The Association was incorporated in 1988 by wives of professional golfers on the PGA TOUR.  PGA TOUR tournaments are major fundraisers for charities, and the wives recognized that they were in a unique position to be an effective source of funds and support for these charities and the children they benefit.  Since inception, the Association has expanded its membership to include Nationwide Tour wives, significant others of PGA TOUR and Nationwide Tour members, and individuals and companies who support the Associations' charitable endeavors.  The PGA TOUR Wives Association has given back to our golfing communities through personal time and monetary contributions to child related charities.  In addition to fundraising, members participate in Volunteer Service Projects, performing a myriad of services ranging from Habitat builds to cooking in soup kitchens to playing with hospitalized children in communities where tournaments are held.

FUNDRAISERS
Each year, the Association conducts many different fundraisers including memorabilia auctions, wine tastings, gourmet golf events, fashion shows, raffles, cookbook sales and its most popular fundraiser, the PGA TOUR Wives Golf Classic. The Classic is one of the most enjoyable activities for Association members and friends. At this golf tournament, members play golf with their husbands acting as caddies. It is a lot of fun and provides a very memorable time to all who attend.

CHARITY RECIPIENTS
The recipients of funds raised by the Association are scattered across the country. In addition to substantial annual contributions to a host of charitable organizations the Association has the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including hurricane and flood relief and other instances of natural disaster.

While the membership of the Association varies from year to year, its commitment to making a difference in the lives of needy children stands strong. The wonderful and dedicated members of the Association, past and present, have reached deep into their resources to balance the demands of family, work and travel and have given generously of themselves to realize their ideals.
